Agatha
Breed: Basset HoundWeight: 74 pounds
Gender: Female
Favorite Food: They all love Flint River Ranch Trout and Potato Nugget Dog Food and the DryWater Kibble.
Favorite Place to Sleep: Agatha loves to sleep propped up against the arm rest on the couch.
She's the alpha girl and is very loyal, sweet, and gentle!

Gretta
Breed: Basset HoundWeight: 76 pounds
Gender: Female
Story: She is the alpha "wannabe" and has a few scars from trying to achieve this role. She is the noisy one—talks when she wants something. Gretta will sit next to another dog and bark at it, which is somewhat annoying.

We had three dogs and thought life was fun and, heck, what was one more? Well, this one upset the apple cart. She can be heard barking. She runs to the neighbors' house, runs up on the trampoline, and then barks to get some more friends on it.

Louis
Breed: Basset Hound/Cocker Spaniel (American)Weight: 50 pounds
Gender: Male
Story: Louis is a junkyard dog. We could not resist the fact that he is half Basset Hound. He is a crowd favorite. He is long and low, but still is able to jump like a little dog!

Spike
Breed: Basset HoundWeight: 73 pounds
Gender: Male
Story: He is the master Basset. If there ever was a prototype it is him. He has lots of skin, lots of drool, and is slow in his gait and deep in his bark.

He has a bad habit of wanting to drink out of running faucets. He will go into the bathroom and paw on the water spout for us to turn it on. He also can be sleeping and if he hears the water running from the hose, will come running and insist on drinking from it.

He also is very stubborn. If we are walking and heading towards home and he is not ready to go home, he will lie down and refuse to get up.

Isabelle
Breed: Basset HoundGender: Female
Story: Isabelle is the neighbor dog, whom we love as one of our own. We have backyard fences with a gate. Isabelle is insistent on being with "the pack." We and our neighbor both have doggy doors in our houses. That way the dogs can freely run between our yard and the neighbor's. They can also go into our house or the neighbor's.

They all know whose bowl is whose. One person can walk all five dogs at one time, and there are times we have two other dogs staying with the group. We can walk all of them together and give them treats. They know they have to sit and wait their turn. Their name is called and they get the treat. No one tries to take the other's unless it falls on the ground.
