She has been very healthy - we have always fed her very good food like Flint River Ranch Fish and Chips. She had a few big operations due to her cruciate ligaments on both legs and bloat after one of the operations, but she has recovered and has otherwise been very healthy. Nickname: Nay Nay Favorite Place to Sleep: Nikki sleeps with anyone who will sleep with her, usually in our bed. Story: We got her from the Atlanta Humane Society when she was 3 months old and we just love her so much. Kenny Breed: Chow Chow Mix Gender: Male Nickname: Cuckoo Favorite Place to Sleep: Kenny likes his bed right next to me. They would like to sleep with Luca but they are just too big right now. Story: When we realized Nikki was pretty lonely, we decided to adopt another friend for her, so we went to a local shelter and found Kenny. We adopted him at about 9 months old. The day we adopted Kenny we also found out I was pregnant with Luca - it was a wonderful day all around. Kenny and Nikki get along great and Kenny keeps Nikki moving around and playing. They are great company for one another and very good with Luca. We make sure everyone treats everyone kindly and hugs and kisses are all around. Luca has also learned to get out of the way when the dogs hear something! Sherlock Breed: German Shepherd Dog Mix Gender: Male Story: We adopted Nikki a friend when she was one. His name was Sherlock. We just adored him as well, but he had a very rare disease and although we took amazing care of him, he passed on in January 2005 at the age of 6.
