Story: Frida was left for dead - twice - as the runt of a litter
in the wild. The second time I found her near my construction site, I
adopted her. (The first time, I put her back with the other puppies under a
nearby trailer.) She was the size of my thumb. Shortly after adopting her, I
had to work in the UK and while I was away she became very sick with Parvo.
The vet said she would not live and Ana didn't want to upset me, so she
didn't tell me while I was away. After a week at the vet's office, a very
proud vet called and said he had a surprise. Frida lived and has turned out
very healthy! She sleeps in my arm pit, runs 3 to 10 miles with me every
other day, and is a constant companion and source of joy. Her mom lives with
us now, too, but is still a little wild. |
