Special Skills or Responsibilities: Brutus is an animal-assisted therapy dog certified by the Delta Society. He makes weekly visits to a hospital in town.
Brutus and I are best friends. We have been together since he was seven weeks old. He loves all people and all dogs and doesn't understand when a dog is mean to him. He is the happiest dog I have ever seen. I love to do things with him, take him to the pet store, park, herding lessons, agility and obedience classes. I have never had a dog that I have done so much with. He is a pleasure and despite the myths surrounding Rottweilers, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is such a clown and makes me laugh. I always know what he is thinking. He attends doggy day care once a week and has many friends. Brutus helps me with Sampson and even corrects him for me when he doesn't listen. Once I was trying to make Sampson do a "down" so I could give everyone a treat and he wouldn't. Brutus put his paw on Sampson's shoulder and helped him! Brutus is very smart.

Breed: Saint Bernard/Labrador Retriever MixWeight: 49 pounds
Gender: Male
Story: Sampson has been with me since he was two days old. I fostered his mother and siblings for a rescue group and fell in love with him. We lost two of the puppies at three weeks of age due to a virus, and that only makes him more special to me. His mother and siblings are now living in great homes. Brutus and Sampson are great pals and Sampson imitates Brutus just like a little brother. They are both great boys.
